This website belongs to and is run by the person identified on our About page.

2. Purpose of the site

Everything here describes a one-person practice working in bookbinding and book repair: spines and hinges rebuilt, text blocks resewn on tapes or cords, new bindings in cloth or leather, paper mended and guarded with Japanese paper and starch paste, and clamshell boxes and slipcases built to fit the book, all sewn and covered by hand. The text and illustrations are information only; nothing on the site is an offer, a reservation or a contract.

3. Illustrative material

Any illustration here shows the kind of work we do, not particular items in stock. What is available, to what specification and at what price changes over time and is only confirmed in a written quote.

4. What an enquiry is

Sending a message creates an enquiry, nothing more. Nothing is reserved, booked or sold through this website, and no payment is taken here. Anything binding is agreed separately, in writing.

5. Intellectual property

Text, layout and illustrations are ours or our licensors' and may not be reused commercially without our written permission.

6. Liability

We try to keep the site accurate and fix mistakes as we find them. Nothing in these terms takes away a consumer's statutory rights.

7. Applicable law

The law of the place of the address given on the About page governs these terms.
